Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for an experienced Quality Assurance Team Lead located in Bergen, Norway. We are seeking someone who can oversee and drive the quality assurance strategy across our software products. The QA Team Lead will coordinate our team of QA engineers, define testing processes, ensure high product quality, and collaborate closely with development, product, and operations teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, including task assignment and professional development
- Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes, standards, and best practices
- Develop and maintain test strategies, test plans, and test cases for functional, regression, integration, system, and acceptance testing
- Ensure effective test coverage for both manual and automated testing
- Oversee test execution and defect management, ensuring timely identification, documentation, and resolution of issues
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and quality expectations
- Drive the adoption and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, test results, and release readiness
- Ensure QA activities are aligned with project timelines and delivery goals
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, with prior experience in a leadership or senior QA role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing
- Experience with modern test automation tools like Robot framework, Cypress, Playwright or similar
- Knowledge of performance, security, or usability testing
- Solid knowledge of test management tools, defect tracking systems, and automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Kanban preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Previous experience in the broadcast or media industry is an advantage
